Surging in Trinidad between the period 2006-2012.

INTRODUCTION.

Flooding is a unusual existence of drinking water on area to a depth which affects normal actions. Flooding can easily arise coming from: overflowing streams (river flooding), heavy rainfall over a transientness (flash floods), or an unusual inflow of sea drinking water onto land (ocean flooding). Ocean flooding can be brought on by storms including hurricanes (storm surge), high tides (tidal flooding), seismic events (tsunami) or huge landslides (sometime also called tsunami). Port-Of-Spain (POS) is a seaside city found on the north-western peninsula of Trinidad. Most of the town is situated on land which slopes carefully towards the marine. Due to its topography and drainage patterns inside the city, DETRAS is easily overloaded. The multimedia has provided sufficient data reports that led to the final outcome that surging in DETRAS is very repeated. Therefore , this place was picked for the truth study just for this topic. The problem being investigated is the unwanted effects of flooding in Trinidad between the period 2006-2012. They are the ways when the problem of flooding provides negatively afflicted Trinidad in various sectors.

AIM OF RESEARCH.

Several members of my family are situated in Port-of-Spain and flooding within the city has influenced them for the last 7 years. The educational value with this research is to highlight short term and long term reasons behind flooding and its particular effect. Additionally , it will present what can be done and what is being done to help alleviate the severity of this concern.
